Project Instructions

Introducing The MAKESUPPLY Standard
This template set—and all new sets going forward—uses an updated instructional format we call The MAKESUPPLY Standard. Instructions now begin after all pieces are cut and stitching holes are punched, whether you’re using paper PDF templates, laser files, or acrylic templates.

Following The MAKESUPPLY Standard is optional—you can still complete this project using your own preferred workflow.

If you’re new to our templates please check out our Guide To Using MAKESUPPLY Templates to get you started!

Assembling The Print PDF

If you are printing out the PDF pattern you will notice that the largest piece is split into two parts. To begin you must first assemble that piece by cuting at the larger dashed lines and connecting the circle with two A’s. Below is an example:

Video Instructions

  • .8mm Flat braid Polyester Thread

Leather Selection

In this video we used two different leathers for that two-tone effect. The outside is Black Pueblo leather in thickness 3.5-4oz (1.2mm – 1.4mm) and the inside is classic brown Vachetta leather in 3.5-4oz (1.2mm – 1.4mm). For this project I recommend no more than 4oz leather thickness.

Guidelines of Template Usage

We put a lot of time and effort into producing these templates, videos, and blog posts. Please do not distribute the template you have purchased from MAKESUPPLY. It’s not cool and hurts our feelings (CRY EMOJI). And we have eyes EVERYWHERE.

However, you are free to do whatever you want with the end product you create using the template.
