Free Leather Zip Pouch Templates (Small & Large)

These are free leather zip pouch templates in two sizes—a small pouch and a larger everyday version. Both are simple, practical designs that are easy to build and actually useful once finished. The patterns are provided as printable PDF files meant to be printed and cut by hand.

The free PDF download includes pattern pieces for both sizes, along with zipper length notes and finished size references so you know exactly what you’re building before you start.

Usage Note: You are free to use this design to create and even sell the end product. However, you cannot re-distribute this template in any form.

There is currently no video instructions for these template sets.

These designs require sized zippers. In the example photos we used a 4″ finished YKK zipper and for the larger pouch we used a 6″ finished YKK zipper. You dont have to buy them pre-finished like this but it does make the project go quicker. That is the exact shop we buy our own zippers from linked above.

Leather Selection

In the example photos we used 2 different types of leather. The small zipper pouch was made from 3-4oz (1.2mm – 1.4mm) natural vegetable tanned leather. The large zipper pouch was made from 3-4oz (1.2mm – 1.4mm) harness leather in color buck brown. Both of these leathers are from Wickett & Craig.

Guidelines of Template Usage

We put a lot of time and effort into producing these templates, videos, and blog posts. Please do not distribute the template you have purchased from MAKESUPPLY. It’s not cool and hurts our feelings (CRY EMOJI). And we have eyes EVERYWHERE.

However, you are free to do whatever you want with the end product you create using the template.
