Free Leather Field Notes Cover Pattern (Printable PDF)

Download this free leather pocket notebook cover pattern, designed to fit Field Notes–size notebooks (3.5″ × 5.5″) and similar pocket journals such as Moleskine. The printable PDF pattern is beginner-friendly and perfect for quick everyday carry (EDC) leather projects.

The design features a main sleeve for your notebook plus two front pockets — one sized for a pen and the other for cards or general carry. Use it to hold cards, pocket knives, receipts, or other small essentials while keeping your notebook protected and organized.

Leather Selection

In this video we used Olive Pueblo leather in thickness 3.5-4oz (1.2mm – 1.4mm). For this project I recommend no more than 4oz leather thickness.
