Leather Selection Suggestions
In this video we used 2-3oz Wickett & Craig Natural Tooling Leather. This wallet will benefit from a thin and mostly flexible leather. We used 2-3oz for this model wallet and wouldnt suggest using much thicker than 3-4oz if thats what you have. The thinner the leather, the easier the wallet will stay folded together.ucIf you would like to purchase the exact leather we are using here, you can order from Wickett & Craig direct, or order a smaller piece from Buckleguy.com.

Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your knowledge and taking the time to teach!!! I am not going to use leather for this wallet, I am going to try to make a wallet from recycled plastic bags. Hopefully one day I’ll save the money to start working with leather.
All the best!!
I looked on Etsy for the acrylic templates. Very nice products.
There are holes in the templates.
I could not find the ‘stitches per inch’ used for the pre-drilled holes in the description.
Can you let me know?
(If I know the stitches per inch, I can mark only the first and last holes. Then scribe my stitching line and use my irons.
I hope this is something a newbie can accomplish, with the tutorial.
Should be doable just take your time!
Hello, I was looking at your tri fold wallet pattern, I was going to try one of your free ones but I don’t see the outside pattern. I already purchased a few acrylic ones from you on Etsy, I’m not sure if I’d like this one, that’s why I wanted to try a free one before I ordered the acrylic one. Also do you sell acrylic laptop bag pattern? Thanks Omer
Hello! The PDF document should be 3 (or 4 I forget) pages and the outside panel is cut in half. You will have to print out the 2 pieces and tape or glue them together to create the outside panel. I had to do this because the size is too large to fit on a regular piece of paper.
