This leather mid wallet pattern is a free PDF template inspired by Japanese wallet designs. A mid wallet sits between a regular size bi-fold and a full length “long wallet”. This style wallet relies on some pretty clever techniques so it may not be the best option for a beginner leathercrafter. However, if youre up for a little challenge this one is a great download!

Leather Selection Suggestions
In this video we used a combination of leather. The outside shell and the top collar were made of 3-4oz Wickett & Craig Harness leather. The insides were made from 2-3oz Wickett and Craig brown skirting leather. The other model shown in the video was made entirely from 2-3oz Wickett & Craig Natural Tooling Leather. Please keep in mind this project requires many layers of leather stacked to create a rather beefy wallet. If you want to use a thicker leather for the outside shell I wouldnt go much more than 5oz. That would pair best with 3oz or less for the inside pieces.

I would like to purchase the acrylic template of the “Japanese Style” Mid-Wallet. However, I don’t see it for purchase in your catalog. Could you please show me where in your catalog I can purchase the acrylic template to make this wallet? Thank you.
