Usage Note: You are free to use this design to create and even sell the end product. However, you cannot re-distribute this template in any form.

Template Assembly Instructions

Due to the fact that the laced satchel design is much larger than a regular sheet of printer paper, we had to cut up into smaller pieces that must be assembled to create the final pattern design. Whether you’re using the letter size or A4 size print out, you will need to complete this assembly.

First, print out the PDF it will be 8 pages. The first page will show you a diagram of the finished assembly. We recommend constructing the sides first (3 pages) and then connecting both sides at the final step.

Below you see an example of the sides being attached first.

After the sides are attached, you will complete the same attachment along the center which is circle number 5.

Once all the pages are connected, trim around the perimeter to reveal your completed pattern. I HIGHLY recommend gluing this paper pattern down on top of a piece of cardboard or paperboard for a firmer pattern. Trying to trace a design this large from regular paper is very difficult to do.

Leather Selection

In this video we used Valdibrana Concerie Tarano Italian Vachetta Leather – 8oz (3mm) thick. The color is Olive Green. This pattern can work with a wide range of leather weights. However anything over 3mm thickness will start to become a challenge when folding the edges.
